Well looks like I might have to get a new steering system for my boat. I believe it is a rotary system. I was wondering what brands other people have went with and how do they like them from installation to use?

Bondo is correct.

If your engine is in the 70 to 150 HP range I would consider NFB (No Feed Back) type systems.

If your engine is over 150 HP, a dual cable or hydraulic is a must.

I have the inline chevy 4 cyl. So should be fine with nfb type. Thanks for the info.

If you have the space for it, I hear their rack systems are a lot nicer than the old rotary designs, but need a bit more space behind the dash to mount. I guess they are more popular now, because the rack sysem is now less costly than the basic rotary (not nfb).

Those racks are only 16 or so inches wide. I like the NFB system I installed. However i went with UFlex. Nothing against teleflex but it was less expensive.

I have a Uflex steering wheel on a Teleflex rotary helm.

I expect to get a visit from the Teleflex police any day now....
