91 yamaha 50.

I bought this boat with this already done to it but the "oil pump" "automatic injection" whatever has been taken off. I have always noticed a little bit of fuel collected on the bottom of the engine "housing, you know the top". I hooked it up to the muffs and found out that it is where the "oil injection" used to be.... now there is a plate with two long hex screws there and on the edge of one side while running spits out a little fuel the whole time its running....my question is could i take the plate off and put some liquid gasket on it and if i do that will there be a buttload of parts that fly out when i take that little cover off? I don't think it is safe to keep running like this it could prolly blow up or something i guess  Thanks in advance!

If fuel leaks out, air leaks in. it does need to be fixed. The gasket is available from Yamaha. It is used in the C model engines.
