HIGH IDLE

I have a 1989 Suzuki 115 hp . I haven't run the motor for 2 m0nths. I started it up today and the idle was high about 1800 rpm I try to adjust the throtal linkheg but is still idleing high PLease help.

First glance rookie opinion woupld point to a fuel issue. Is the fuel 8 weeks old too?

usually if the throttles are properly set and not mechanically bound up and held open if the larger suzukis idle high it means something broke and the timing has defaulted to eaither 7*BTDC or 11* BTDC.<br /> do you have a service manual ?
