My Suzuki DF115 - 11501F {115HP 4 Stroke} leg anode has not shown any sacrifice whatsoever, even after making sure proper contact existed when on low hours. The large anode (2nd. installed) appears to be doing all the work. Engine has about 300Hrs. all in saltwater and while no apparent galvanic action is evident, its a little disconcerting to see an as new 'Inactive' leg anode after this time. Are there any similar experiences out there in relation to when this little devil 'Kicks in'

Hi seakar, welcome to iboats!!

My initial gut feeling is that everything is working as it should, the large anode is doing all the work, and that is o/k.

Every boat/motor combination is different, some produce low amounts of voltage, some high. The surface area of the anode(s) is the crucial 'X' factor in combating galvanic corrosion, yours may just need the one - the other one just sits there looking pretty.

Got a multi-meter? Use the ohm function, test continuity between the two anodes. if they are electrically joined - all is well.

My 115 John/Suk has a third anode. Its small and round on the bottom of the tilt motor. I take mine off and clean them up but haven't had to replace any yet. Only 185hrs of mostly fresh water. Where are you buying the replacement anodes?

You also have anodes in the exhaust manifold.

I haven't seen those. Post a picture or drawing? Thanks
