Starboard engine loses RPM at WOT after about 10 seconds. Haul throttle back to about 4000 rpm kicks back in smooth. Ran on a 6 gallon shop tank, and it ran at WOT without a single stutter or losing RPM's. Thought it was a fuel flow issue. Therefore swapped lines AFTER the Racors, and the problem still occured on the SAME engine, so I felt it had nothing to do with fuel tanks and associated anti siphons etc., and was therefore isolated to the fuel line run from the Racors to the engine. Have replaced fuel lines, fuel flow sensor, squeeze bulb, and have switched back and forth under deck tanks and running fresh gas, and still a problem.

I am going to dissasemble the fuel pump next, as I am absolutely lost as to what it can be. My thinking is that unlike the shop tank at a higher level than the below deck tanks, and the run 1/4 of the length, then maybe the added gravity is causing the fuel pump to restrict flow. Perhaps a pinhole in the diaphram?

Anybody elase ever had this problem, and do you believe I am on the right track? I do not have a vacuum gauge, and I understand it needs to be observed at WOT under load, but I am by myself (may be time to buy a vacuum gauge and dangle a can of beer on a stick for a buddy).

Feedback/pointers PLEASE!!

sounds like your on the right track, the fuel pumps wont last foever. those tiny pumps have to move roughly 20 gallons an hour at WOT.
the beer trick works :) .

Thanks Rodbolt,

Is there a rebuild kit available? All I can seem to find online are the whole assembly, or individual parts.

I guess at a minimum I should get the two diaphrams, 2 gaskets and and the check valves. And I guess double that as there are two pumps (I guess they work in tandem?)?
