West bend 40HP Golden Shark

Has anyone got the scoop on the old West Bend 40HP Golden Shark outboard?<br /><br />We have one that sat in a garage for 20 years.<br />Since installing a starter, there is a constant curent draw from the altinator area.<br /><br />Do the manuals available show wiring diagrams for most outboard?<br /><br />Thank you for your time, Cheers.

My aftermarket service manual says SOME 35,40 and 45 hp with electric start are equiped with battery ignition with a flywheel mounted alternator generator.
