Don't take it as an affront but rather as simple organization.<br />That sounds like a Jonny/Rude serial number you have there, which isn't very useful to us. Check the transom bracket (where the engine bolts to the boat) for a nameplate with a model number. Should look like E225nnnn or J225nnnn. Tell us what you find.
