I need to replace the steering in my boat, I have a rack setup. What are the advantages or disadvantages of a rack versus a rotary setup? I would like to go with a No-feedback setup.

Installation! Routing either end of a flat rack is difficult to impossible in most boats. Rotary cables have one limp end which is way easier!

Does anyone have more input? I would like to buy the setup tonight, and want to make sure I get the best one.

If you have the rack buy a rack. Rotary is for people who do not have the space under the dash. Install is the same for either system.
Both have the rack or rotary part bolted to the dash holes are drilled bolts are tightened.
Rack should give you better control but they both work for the job.
