15hp Sea King by Chrysler Settings

Hello, I have what I am told is a 1983 Sea King by Chrysler model number is VWB-52119D and serial number is 38X 29531. It is a 15HP engine. I ordered a repair manual for the engine but havnt received it yet and was wanting to take it out on Monday or Tuesday. I just replaced all the fuel lines and such on the engine and I was wanting to tune it up. I purchased new points/condensors for it and I wanted to know the point gap for the engine, and also if possible the carb settings for the engine. I bought the manual for this such reason, but havnt got it Yet. I appreciate any help I can receive. also a confirmation of the model year would be great as well.

Welcome to iboats. <br /><br />Points gap should be .020, sparkplug gap .030, idle mixture screw about one turn out, gasil = 50:1. Those are educated guesses. I come up with 1983 for the year.

Thanks, I really appreciate it. I wish my manual would hurry up and arrive. I cant wait to get the boat back out. I just rebuilt the fuel pump, rebuilt the car (well as much as it can be ) put a new impeller in the waterpump, and changed the gear lube. Now I need to clean the points, make sure the gap is set. and Let it Rip. I also replaced all the fuel lines with some Marine Grade A fuel hose. Just want to be up and running with no problems. I really appreciate your help again.

I have a seaking 1983 model#VWB52119E ser#48x31539 with low RPM miss and is hard to start. I am also looking for a tune up and repair manual for it. What can I do? It run fine at high RPM,Mabey the spark adavance is the problem? thanks for the help.

I have a SEA kING 15HP- Model #VWB 52122, I found that the Diaphragm on fuel pump is cracked, Do you know on were I can find a fuel pump or kit for this,, Thx.

I have a 1983 MW Sea King from Chrysler... Where is the darn water pump? It is pushing air thru, but not water. I would like to get this looked at, and pumping water, so I can decide to keep this and sell my 6hp or just sell the 15... THANKS!
