I have a Sea King/Gale 5D12, 5HP GG9002A. I have installed new plugs. I have good spark out of one plug only. I have checked the points gap and still no spark out of the second plug. I suspect the condenser or the Coil. Where can I get these parts?

A GG9002A should be a '56 Gale built 5hp. Gale was a division of OMC that supplied outboards to third parties for resale. You probably recognise the other OMC divisions, Johnson and Evinrude. Not suprisingly, your Gale has a lot in common with an older Johnson 5hp. ;)
If you've filed, cleaned and gapped the points and you still have no spark, the next most likely problem is with the ignition coil. Carefully examine it for any cracks in it's insulation. I think you have the more modern coils that look like this:

That coil is still made and sold (cheap!) by both Bombardier and the aftermarket supplier Sierra. The Sierra coils (18-5181 pictured above) are available from Iboats, NAPA autoparts, and various other places. Or you can get a 'factory' coil from a Johnson or Evinrude dealer.
If you've got the older coils, here's an article on how to repair them:
http://www.oddjobmotors.com/tt1_replacewico_coil.htm

Hope that helps!

Re: Sea King Ignition-No Spark on One Plug

Thanks Paul,
I went to NAPA and got the Coil and Condesor. The original was all cracked. I put it in and now have spark! I will order the other one, because even though it has spark, it is all cracked as well. I also replaced the Spark wires. Thanks again.
