my neighbor was just given a scott 25hp motor. He came to me for help on it but I have never heard of this brand. He is mising the flywheel nut and the tiller handle. anyone know of where to find parts or at the very least a repair manual? This motor hasn't been run in years from what the previous owner has said.

lingcod

First thing you will need is a model number.
After market manuals that cover many brands in one appear regularly on eBay.Parts you could try www.aomci.org You can also watch eBay for parts and parts motors.Scott-Atwater Became Scott McCulloch circa 1960.I believe the 25 became 27 circa 62.You could also try "ask the scott guy" for help.
