I just bought a Golden Jet <br />model # 1715C<br />Serial # 150452<br /><br />just wondering if anyone can help me with oil mixture type of spark plug and possialbe year of motor I ran a 32:1 mixture seemed to run great but just want to be sure i am running the right mix any additional info would be greatly appreceiated since this is my first motor

Your motor is a 71 Fuel mix is 25:1 most suggest Chain saw type 2 stroke oil as the power head is air cooled.Plug is J13Y set at.035. points set at .020.The exhaust leg is water cooled.Water should mist out of the relief holes on the leg.<br />You should try to get a service manual you may find an aftermarket manual here on iboats that covers many brands.You could also try the library.
