    I have a 9.9 that is missing transom tag. I found a round tag on motor with numbers 889225686. Can anyone back trace model/ year?

    Excessive tan gunk

    Im hoping so, just seemed a really excessive amount, around a quart or so has drained out. Plugs also had black gunk on them not the typical wet oil .

    Excessive tan gunk

    Have an 88 9.9 long shaft leaking and plugging up from propeller with a tan gooey fluid. Gear lube does not appear to have the same issue, it is slightly used oil look with no water in it. I have attached pictures for reference. Any suggestions.?gear lubegooey
