I have 160 merc. and it will no longer go into gear. Just before it crapped out there was a burning smell and then it just wouldnt go into gear. Any ideas on what it could be or what i can check . Thanks
I have a 160hp Merc. in I think a 79' Cutter. Anyway, There is somthing wrong with the carb, after it boat fires up gas floods into the carb and it dies out. Now ive had it all apart and the needle and floater look good but its almost as if its staying open and the gas is just being pushed right...
