I googled it, looks fairly easy to remove and reinstall the solinoid. JUST BE SURE TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY FIRST. If this link works, there is a test you can do to be sure it is the solinoid. It sounds like when they go bad, they are done and cleaning might not help. $100 sound pretty cheap...
Or is my problem something else? Motor ran and shifted fine before I messed with it (Other than no pee from pee hole) and obviously this is an out board. Thanks
Hello, I replaced impeller, pulled foot in neutral, re-installed. Now Revers is way down on shifter, is tough and kills motor. Also dies in Forward unless paused after shift then slowly accelerated. I assume I jacked my linkage/timing up by pulling foot in neutral rather than Forward?? How do I...
