    280 penta outdrive removal stuck half way up

    I have a 1983 280 penta and need to know if I can remove the outdrive if it is half way up, Sat in water for 6 years, needs rebuild, Or do I need to get all down before pulling it off.

    Volvo penta I.D.

    I have a 1983 Bayliner with a penta 280 outdrive that is bad, I found a complete penta outdrive but the only numbers they can give me are 868130 and 1101586238 Is this a 270,280 I have a aq175a engine v-6 i am mating it with, I will have it shipped but only if it works for me. Thanks guys
