My '85 200hp merc is revving high due to using a small prop. How high should I rev this before giving up on finding WOT? Already gone to about 6200rpm & still some throttle left & motor is climbing. Also, I was wondering what is a good rpm for fuel efficiency when cruising, & best rpm's for fuel...

I'm getting good hole shot for wakeboarding, skiing etc.. although the bow comes up a fair bit before planing. the 18P is also revving a bit high for barefooting...
I have a Pride Panther with a '85 200hp Merc. I've got a 4 blade 18 pitch prop (alloy). The boat has a fair bit of Bow lift when taking off (towing skiier). Will a hydrofoil or Stabilizer fin help this? Is there a certain type that will help this? Also, I'm wondering if a hydrofoil will help...
I've had water shooting out and dislodgeing the plastic cover just below the water inlet on the lower part of the trunk. I replaced the plastic cover and the water pressure just dislodged it again. Is this expensive to fix? Is it an exhaust gasket leak? Also, I've bought a new trim/tilt pump...
