    Idle/start up rpm - 284 ChristCraft 305

    Not sure where to post - I reset my idle rpm because it seemed hard to start at 500/600 - took it up to 1000 - starts and idles great. Now I cant shift it into drive - if I get it into drive - I cantget it out ? ​ If the boat cools down with the lower rpm it just doesn't want to restart at lower...

    reverse rotation ?????

    Maybe this has been debated/answered - but. I bought a Chris Craft 284 with twing 305 chevy engines. I was told one should be reverse rotation. I dont believe either is - whats the need for that - and what do I need to correct this if it's wrong? If there's a better place for this...

    Help -305 Chevy/OMC wont run ?????

    I have twin 305 1987 Chevy/OMC in my Chris Craft 284 Amersport. Bought it last year - what a deal he gave me !:lol: Well I was cruisen at 1800rpm - the right engine faltered - so I shut her down - limped by in on the other. When I tried to restart - it just rolls over ! Not a spit or sputter...

    secondary shift cable - OMC/Chris Craft 284

    When I shift my starboard motor into gear (reverse or drive) - it stalls. But once we get underway(2500/3000rpm) its smooth and hums along. Port side - no issues - yet ! I noticed the other day when I got to 3000 I hear a "Click" - and the shifter could be pushed forward - but - rpm stayed...

    Stringers

    Everyone talks about "Stringers" - I know every boat is different and stringers are ????????? I have been trying to get the hull specs for my Amersport 284 twin 305 OMC. I would love to see some sort of diagram of what and where things should or could be. Like there's two vents/with louvers...
