Connecting up the trim limit switch wires on the new transom assemblies.
The wires are supposed to be coded with blue and purple bands to connect up to blue/white and purple/white connections......mine are both just black of course.
How do we determine which is which?
Is it necessary to replace the 20 year old double wound lockwashers found on the rear engine mounts when reinstalling the engines?

Getting all my ducks lined up to upgrade alpha gen 1 transom assemblys and drives with new gen 2. ( twin engine boat)
Question for experts: do the new drives need a different coupler? (my guess is no)

They are 3 bladed props, fat blades, 16 x 16 I understand.
