    Has anyone had experience with the Chinese made control boxes sold on Amazon and E Bay? A Johnson control box is $200.0-$300.0 whereas a Chinese model is $120.0 to $200.0, with all of the bells and whistles. I don't need the key and choke just the trim and the Chinese models look pretty good???

    Thermostats are fine, engine reaches operating temp and stays. No problem. Would going to a hotter plug be advisable?

    I have a 94 Johnson 115 HP that I had the power head rebuilt. I converted to pre-mix and deleted the VRO pump. The engine runs great, However the plugs are wet and oily. 2.6 mix per gallon. Timing 24degrees. Plugs aren't fouled only black, wet and oily. Compression is 120 all 4. Currently 50...
