    It wasn’t easy, and very time consuming, but I finally received the correct springs from Karavan. They were pretty much the same springs as were original, but with an extra leaf. Installed them and now equalizer sits pretty darn close to level. Problem solved

    So I took a sharp piece of wire and went poking around kinda like a dentist does with suspicious cavity areas. No holes. I think what folks are seeing are shadows from metal curls. And it seems none of the gouges are more than 30-40% of the thickness deep.

    That is just a shadow from a curl of metal. It appears to be about less than 1/2 the metal thickness at the deepest. Maybe I’ll take it in just in case. Fresh water
