Good day. I have a 1975 Johnson 20 hp model 20 BA75B. I have a chance to grab another Johnson 20 hp model 20 CR 79 R. My question is are the parts of the two motors interchangeable? Is it a good idea to buy the 1969 motor anyway?
I have a 20 foot1980 Silverline Nantucket with a 228 mercruiser. My problem was that it was stalling out at the worst times usually after stopping to get a skier or tuber back in the game. I would satart up again and the engine would idle only and quit when put in gear.
