    swap lower units

    I have 2 merc 25hp. One is a 1985 and the other is a 2000. The 1985 is an XD. Can anyone tell me if the lower unit, drive shaft and spacer on the XD will bolt right onto the 2000 unit Also is the carb the same? Thanks
