I have an 82 115 Evinrude that seems to overheat after it sits. I can run it then stop for 10 minutes. When I go to start it, the alarm goes off. I can then bring the engine speed up and the alarm will get quieter until it goes off. Stop and let it sit for 10 minutes or so and turn the key on...
When you are running at cruising speed, where should the fin be running in the water. Should it be on top of the water, 1 or 2 inches below the surface. I have never seen a reference to this. Thanks!
