The timing is a little off on my motor and they really don't cover the timing in the manual that I have. I have had people tell me how they think I am saposed to do it but I would like some feedback from the peope that have helped me the most here on iboats. Thank you.
my friend ran my boat out of oil and got towed in and i went and got it running the next morning sounded good. then i took it out on the water and wot doesn't rev out as much and its alot slower. does anyone know what could have happened.. its running fine?? 1990 evinrude 150 2 stroke..

so i dropped the lower half of my rude and i to check and see if the water pump was good and it was.. i changed the oil in the casing ,went through carbs,let me add there was only one thermostat on this engine and it was stuck open, so i changed both of them and put everything back together...
i took the carbs off to go threw them and put them back on and now i dont get any spark to the spark plugs.. i checked them all and no spark.. what do i do now ... i cant find a fuse or anything.. please help..
i just took the carbs off of my 1990 eevinrude 150 and just put them back on now the boat will not start.. is there anything that i could have disterbed when i took them off fuel lines or somthing else..
I have a 86 bayliner with a 150 v6 1990 evinrude vro and I know the wrong prop was on there but would that gap make my engine overheat and rev out and not go anywere? I bought the right one now and I am going to try it out tomarrow but just curious if that 2'' gap were the exhaust and the prop...

i took apart the two thermostat howsings and there was only one.. the one on the port side was empty.. the people at west marine said that there is only one in there.. does anyone know if that is tru??
there is some black **** in my gas tank and it keeps clogging the gas feed into the engine.. i have 14 gallons of gas in there what can i put in the tank to dissolve that stuff.... its an inboard gas tank,,1986 bayliner
i dont want to blow up the motor and i dont know if the oil is mixing .. if i unplug the oil from the engine and pump the primer it comes out the hose... ???? ppl are telling me to disconnect it and pre mix the gas......
