    v150 water pump baseplate removal ? Any poniters on how to get it off without damaging it? And do I really need to take it off when doing a water pump overhaul! The water pump kit has all the seals so I'm thinking I should replace all of them while it's apart!!

    changing lower unit gear ratio

    Does anybody know what effect I will have If I change from a 2/1 to a 1.87/1 ratio? How will it effect prop size? will I need to go up or down? Thanks

    Question about taking a lower unit apart

    how do I get the carrier ass. out of the housing on a 150 hp lower unit? I Have gotten the retaining ring out but I'm stumped from there. I have a bent prop shaft and I need to take the unit apart to see what the gears look like so I wil know which direction to go in to get this fixed!! Thanks

    ? about props!!

    I have a 86'strados 169v bass boat with a 150hp merc that has a 24p 4 blade prop. It runs around 53 mph @ 5800 rpm!! That's not WOT , I have more but I don't want to go over 5800! I hit a rock with the prop and bent the hell out of it and will have to replace it! I really like a 4 blade The prop...
