Someone told me it did not matter which way rotation of motor was if there was only one motor installed. Is this correct? I’m looking at a left handed rotation motor off a dual outboard setup really good price and taken care of professionally.
I’m thinking about this 20” shaft vmax that popped up nearby. My current setup is a 25” shaft. Can I put a cnc bracket on with a 20” shaft? Would that put the power head to close to the water?
I’m gonna keep looking for a bigger boat. Gonna keep the islander I have now an outboard. Looking to put a 150 on it. I really do want a big ole swim platform.
The hull has a dent that was being hidden by a cover. I think I’m gonna pass, I have a 98 5.0 mercruiser I was gonna transplant. A little jealous of the inboards.
I found this 22’ chieftain that I believe is going to the scrap yard. I got the guy talked down to $500.. I just don’t think I need two cuddy cabins and there is still work to be done on the islander.. just curious what yall think.
I don’t know what to think about styrofoam and 1/4” ply.. I want to add an anchor and a windlass but I don’t see that structure being strong enough… I’m thinking I can replace bow skin and make supports making the bow flat..
