I briefly looked over it there was no rust,I randomly removed a couple caps at a time and checked the crank and the bearings and then retightened them there was no scarring or wear marks so assuming it didn't throw a rod only issue so far was like I said the cracked lifter rod and the rocker arm
That was the plan,, I found a custom intake design and maker in North Carolina so I think that will solve my fuel issue but now that you mention it..the ignition side of it might be an issue ,yes I thought it was a vortec style I could just slap in a hei and a carb intake throw it in the boat...

It was a warranty job they pulled the motor and put another crate motor in without trying to find the cause. Only thing I found wrong with it was a pushrod had a crack in it and looks like a rocker had failed.no damage anywhere else in the motor,,( bad material used ,faulty part,, ) not sure
