    Pulled mine out and there was resistance as I tried to blow air through it. Just put in a new one, we’ll sew if it helps my high rpm problem.

    Do you notice a difference depending on the temperature outside? How is the oil? Does it smell gassy at all? Could be the low pressure pump. This is assuming your fuel/water sep and inline fuel filters are changed and no water was present.

    I came across this filter in the parts diagram, it is between the cup filter and the vst. Doesn’t seem to be referenced in the service manual and I don’t see/hear much about it. Any comments out there? Has it caused anyone issue? Thanks, Adam

    Thanks dingbat for the reply. Which gasket are you referencing - at the separator or under-cowl filter? Didn’t notice gaskets on either. I’m replacing the fuel lines from separator to outboard once I get the hose.
