How difficult is it to swap out lower unit shafts and can it in fact be done......The lower unit in question is a fine spline and it needs a 4 spline to work with my power head. Thanks in advance.
Will an Evinrude lower unit fit my Johnson, OB? The model number decal is partially gone but I can make out that it is a 1985, 70 HP. which different HPs will work and will Evinrude work?
I can't keep my 70 horse johnson running right, it is worse when drive is engaged, also there is a strange noise coming from the lower end, but only when drive is engaged. Thanks in advance and God bless.
