Be surprised if this stays up for long.
Purchased an item on a Saturday. Quickly realized it was the wrong part. Why can't you cancel a purchase of the website? Why is there no one to talk to on a weekend? Why, when I called on Monday was I told the item had already shipped when I know it...
I'm only going from my experience having owned two. Wood picks up moisture. While the wood might not be rotten it will pick up moisture over the years making the boat much heavier than it was when it rolled off the manufacturer's line.
I never weighed either of my boats. My first was...
Discovered last weekend that my lines on my fenders are shot. I see alot of different configurations for fender lines. Mine have the molded loop at each end like the ones in the picture. How do most of you thread the lines on the fender?
Foul odors coming into the cabin. We've checked and cleaned the vent (as best we can while at the dock). Is there supposed to be a flapper at the bottom of the bowl that seals off the black water tank from the toilet?
Pump has stopped working. Isn't there a pressure switch that tells the pump to shut off once there is enough water pressure inside the tank? I'm guessing maybe it's inline after the pump? How do I know whether it's the pump or the switch?
Got a call from my marina this morning. They were removing the shrink wrap and "discovered" the sliding glass door has broken glass. Not the slider itself but the stationary glass on either side. When they shrink wrap my boat they take the bimini off the flybridge and set it on the rear deck...
I have an older twin with alpha drives. I've always liked the idea of galvanic protection. I know I have anodes on the drives. My question is can I use one setup to protect both drives?
Because all of our weekends in October are already taken with other events we sadly closed up for the season. We decided to bite the bullet now instead of trying to take care of it on a rainy day in the 40's. She's on the hard, winterized, and ready for shrink wrap. The dock stuff is put away...
Fell getting on to my boat yesterday. Second time since we've owned her. This time caught my flip flop on a line as I was stepping down to the swim platform. Only thing that kept me from going in the drink was catching my shorts on the rear cleat. Complete yardsale on the swim platform. Also...
I've always noticed a bit but it struck me this morning on the way back from Put-in-Bay. Two weeks ago I filled both tanks (75 gal. each) Today the starboard tank is between 1/4 and 1/8th tank. Port is at 1/2.
Where do I begin to look?
Something I've always wondered about. I see some pretty low hours on 20+ year old boats. If it's non EFI wouldn't it be as simple as hooking up a 12v power source on a new meter and running the hours to where you want them and then replace the existing meter? I know on cars it's a federal...
