On a 07 DF140.
Hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and am losing fuel pressure pretty fast.
It gets up to the speced fuel pressure but will not hold it for the speced time.
All hoses and junctions are good and have checked multiple times.
What do i look for and do from here.
Thanks...
I have oil in the intake box and on the butterfly valve.
Cleaned the box out the best i could and wiped out the throttle body/valve.
What could be going on with this.
Motor is an 07 DF140 with just 115hrs.
This is in addition to the other troubles i have with the motor.
Thanks
Took it out for the first time since getting it back from dealer.
Ran with the zuk 23 pitch prop as had a light load along with a lift on the motor.
Could only get 5600 to 5800 rpm full throttle. Barely to the 5800rpm.
That was even raising the motor till i had cavitation.
Will try the 21 pitch...
07 DF 140 bought new zero time.
Right off the bat it would over rev with the 21 prop the dealer sent after talking on the boat and previuos motor.
Would take darn near 4 grand to 4500 to get up on step.
Went to a 23 prop and sucker would only get 57-5800 wide open with a light load.
Boat is...
If i have posted in the wrong place mods please move.
Want to keep this civil also.
So far the dealer has had my df140 for a good 4 and half months.
All they have checked so far is the compression and a quick analyze on the computer.
Thanks
Will it will not be much longer for getting the boats out on the water as the rivers around here are breaking up.
Just hope fishcamp and parents house in another village make it through alright.
Hope to get out and get some birds for the soup pot.
Wonder how our king run will be this year as it...
Well my Mom and Dad put up about 70 kings done into slabs and strips. The will be done in a 1.5 week with the smoking. Could not help this year do to spine and arm problems. Can't wait to try some when the are done.:D
MY 2007 DF140 with just over 30 hrs on it has from the top down
190 psi
170 psi
180 psi
210 psi
plus it was filling the oil with gas like mad. Know i know why.
I did not use syn to break it in. Right from the get go it had a hard time getting up on step. Taking about 4400 rpm to get there.
Time...
My brand new DF140 is using more fuel then my old Sx150.
It is using the same or more fuel on all the same runs.
With the Sx150 i could go 38 miles on 6 gal gas, the 140 will use the same or more for the same run. If i run the 140 at 6,000 like i'm told i can watch the fuel in the tank go down...
