    Carb rebuild question

    I just got a rebuild kit for my carb. Its for a 25 Mariner which really is a Yamaha motor. Anyhow, there is a VERY small "o" ring, and Im not too sure where it goes seeing that I didnt see one when I stripped it down. Is it possible I dont need it? Ant ifo on this is greatly appreciated.

    Need new solenoid

    I need a new solenoid for my 25 Mariner and Im having a hard time finding one that doesnt cost a arm and a leg. LOL. Cheapest I have found is 110.00!!! Anyone know where I can look for one at? Serial number 695- s253821

    Serial number

    I have what I believe is a 1988 Mariner 25. serial number 696/s253821. I have been told its a Yamaha , and I"ve been told its a Mercury. I need to know what it is so I can get parts. Thanks

    Compression for 25 Mariner?

    I just did a compression check on my 25 Mariner (1988), its was pretty low. 50/53 I did it while it cold, I cant get it to start to warm it up. So more or less it needs a overhaul?

    Has spark, wont start

    I can put muffs on my 25 Mariner and it idles good, and hitting the throttle sounds good. Carb IS clean, I can see fuel spray thru main jet. BUT, when I put it in the water its a different story. At half throttle it surges (it takes of then it bogs down). New gas tank, new lines, new bulb,etc...

    New fuel pump?

    Ok... i have a mariner 25. New plastic gas tank, new lines, new bulb(which is in the right direction), new inline filter. It will run at WOT for about 2-3 minutes then die. It will start right back up. But, I can run at 3/4 throttle all day. Today on the water it started to act up and couldnt...

    Serial number??

    Hey fellas... I have what I THINK is a 1988 Mariner. Problem is, I cant find the serial number on the motor. There is a tag on the outside s 253821... But I dont think this is the serial number. Anyone know where it is? I need the serial number to get parts. Thanks
