i found a motor in the local ads, guy has a 09 9.9hp bigfoot for sale NEW never used. He said was going to use it for his jonboat but instead he went out and upgraded to a bassboat and no longer needs motor..still has 4yr warranty..comes with rolling stand & tank for $1700.00 think its worth...
After storing my motor in shed i noticed it had some oil spots under motor so i took a look and all i can see if lil bit of gear oil slowly drippin off the water intake tube/screen. What could be goin on here? think this is maybe why im getting a lil water mixed with my oil?
I have '82 4.5hp motor and when i run it wide open it sounds like every 20 or so seconds you hear motor rev up and go back down while in drive position almost like its slippin?? what could be wrong with it? Seem to have just started this this year not too long after i changed impeller.
trying to find out year of this motor guessing its 2000 or newer?? 2 stroke or 4??

I have new Grizzly 1448 and looking into getting deck mount trolling motor. I never used the powerdrive type but have used cable type. I like idea of being able to move pedal around on boat and not have to fight big cable, but i heard steering is diff and takes getting use to. Just wondering...
Ok so i just replaced my impeller bc my motor wasnt spittin out water like i thought it should be. Before i changed it at a idle it would spit water sometimes and then stop for 15-20sec and spit water again. So i changed impeller and took it out for test run and as long as im giving it throttle...
Im going to go look at this motor tomorrow. Lady selling it says it was her fathers and he passed away and been in storage ever since. Said when it was put up it was running but that was 4yrs ago. She is only askin $500 to me seems like good deal. Its missin a prop is only thing she said wrong...
