Hi.
I have a 1984 Cobalt DV18 with a 1995 MCM Bravo EFI 5.7L 350 CID motor and an original 1985 MR outdrive. The outdrive is removed and questionable.:grumpy: I replaced the bell housing, shift cable, all bellows, and water hose and nipple.
I would like to run the motor with the outdrive...
I am finishing an ourdrive service on my '84 Alpha 1. Replaced the bell housing (cracked),shift cable, all bellows, water hose, tube, and grommet, entire water pump, and lower shift shaft bushing. I did not touch anything else in the lower unit except a new water pump and shift shaft...
84 mercruiser MR outdrive. My lower shift shaft bushing (oil seal) is leaking slightly, especially when it's hot and the sun beats down on the outdrive. The drive oil drips out of the lower weep hole. I can see oil seepage around the bushing and down in the cavity so I want to service it...
I have a 1984 Mercruiser MR and cannot remove the zinc trim tab to separate the lower unit. The set screw is rusted and stripped so the allen head wrench just spins. Any ideas how to get this screw out? Maybe drill it out?
Thanks
