I have a 2002 2.5L EFI, 200HP motor and there seems to be too much oil being pumped to the VST causing the motor to smoke terribly. I checked the MAP sensor which seems to be fine. I've also noticed the engine seems to have a layer of oil all over it. No apparent leaks or discharge anywhere...
I am trying to remove the fuel rail from 2003 2.5L EFI Mercury. I removed the four bolts and disconnected the wire harness off each injector. After applying some force the rail won't pull away from the reed block. I thought the rail would come right off. Am I missing something or is this normal?
This is my first post to the site. I hope someone can help. I have a 2003 200 HP Mercury EFI Saltwater outboard, new to me. Once started the motor often times dies while at idle or at low throttle. However, if I can get the motor going for a bit, the problem goes away. Shut the engine down...
