    Uper unit oil

    Just got done intsalling lower and upper unit back on boat. I filled up the lower unit with type c oil. Was wondering i put 80-90 lucus oil hypoid in the upper and intermedate. Is that ok 1974 omc 165 hp.

    165 hp engine coupler

    Have a 74 165hp. Bought a new engine coupler but the promblen I'm having is I can't get the intermedate shaft to go all the way in the new coupler. I've been looking for a new drive shaft but there pretty hard to come by. Can I use a different engine coupler and shaft from a different year omc.

    i have a 74 fantasy with a L6 gm with the stringer out drive, replacing the orignal ball gears, grandfather bounght it new. the upper unit was a little milky so i decided to reseal it. i bought a factory man. Do i have to reshim it im not replacing any of the gears or bearings can i just put new...
