    Rerouted fuel line...too much to lift?

    Bought Tracker 04 40 ho 2 stroke merc. Had terrible fuel run through. Took every line off, cleaned out fuel pump, new bulb, ect. One short hose had preformed bends in it. I could not replicate it without pinching off the fuel, so I ran line over the top of the engine from the fuel pump and down...

    running higher oil to fuel ratio...

    So I'm thinkin...why not run 40/1 instead of 50/1 in my 98 yamaha 115? Coudn't hurt..other than fouling if sitting at idle for a long time..seems it would just add some extra lube in the cylinders..but I am open to criticism on this...please..
