Hi Guys,
I need a tilt/trim unit for my 1973 Chrysler 70 and was wondering if one from a 91 force 120 would fit? It looks the same as the picture I see in my manual but didn't know about size or bolt holes????
Thanks
I have an 85 Johnson 140. Was drilling out broken bolt in port side head and got into water jacket a little. Can I weld/seal the water from leaking out of the bolt hole?

Thanks
I have had my 85 Johnson 140 sitting for a while while I worked on the lower and now I have no spark on the 1/3 bank. 2/4 has strong spark and I have swapped the coils and that's not it. I assume that I have good voltage from the stator b/c 2 cyl's fire but how can I test the timer base circuit...

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice. I bought the 1985 Johnson 140 for a great price and it runs perfectly. I did find some corrosion on the swivel bracket and steering arm and was wondering if a setup from a 87 Johnson 90 would fit? Swivel bracket, tilt/trim motor leg etc. I guess I could...
I did a compression test on a 1985 Johnson 140 motor that did not have controls hooked up so it was cold and throttle at idle position. I got an even 145 on all cylinders. Is this reliable? Should I go back and do the test again to know what shape this motor is in?
I have a Evinrude 150 crossflow that lost a rod and put a hole in the crancase. It took a chunk anout the size of a playing card out of the edge. Can these things be repaired or will a used one mate with my block? Any advice?
