I’m sure it is. They all run together. I’ll see if I can seperate it out. Wonder if a shielded cable would work. Kenwood doesn’t specify that out but it has to be a digital signal.
It works fine with the key on. Just not with the engine running.
Sorry I should have put engine info on there. It’s a Volvo Penta 3.0 stern drive.
It has to be an emf interference because everything works fine and then when the engine is running it just stops working. The radio still works fine but the remote doesn’t.

I have been trying to trouble shoot this for a while now. I have a kenwood marine media receiver. But my boat mounts it on the passenger side so I got a controller that fits into a guage hole and runs to the receiver via a single wire. I assume it’s the same as a steering wheel system in a car...
