    72 Fastwin fuel delivery

Sorry for such a basic topic but I’m unsure of myself, as this is the first outboard I’ve owned. I bought a new fuel tank and a new Evinrude/Johnson fuel line and primer bulb set but can’t get fuel to the fuel pump apparently. I removed the line that goes to the intake on the fuel pump from the...

    Switch lights...dumb question

if the little green light next to a switch does not illuminate, do s it mean that the switch is bad or that the accessory controlled by the switch isn’t activated ? My bow and stern light switch suddenly won’t illuminate after I was working on the bow light itself. Thanks !

Using supplied eye hooks to pull 5.0 litre ?

Videos on YouTube always show using bolts in the heads to attach the chain to. Is this preferable to simply using the three eye hooks that are already bolted into the top of the engine ? Thanks!

    Chris Craft possible collector’s boat?

I have acquired a 1975 Chris Craft Lancer 23 that I think might be the first one off the assembly line that year. I have attached a picture of the hull plate. The serial # is ORDZ-23-2001T. It has the original Chris Craft Thermocon marine engine, “350 GLV” and the original Volvo Aquamatic 270...

Starting Merc 260 with remote starter switch

Just bought a 1986 with a supposedly good 350. Before I remove and drop this engine in my other boat, I'd like to know if the damn thing runs. However, somebody has cut the wiring harness connector from the boat side (male), so there is no wiring connected from the dash backwards. I know this...

    Free Mercruiser 165 I6 Should I take it ?

Looked at an abandoned 84 Four Winns this evening with Merc 165. The hull is ok...all glass with obviously repaired transom. Outdrive rough with mounting bolts backed out 1/2 inch. Trailer broken but would probably make it home. The engine looked pretty good. All parts present with not much...

Uh oh..found this hole next to bilge pump...HELP ! (pic)

http://imgur.com/a/eD1Ao This hole is on the end of a fiberglass protrusion that comes from under the gas tank and stops just short of the bilge pump. I ran a long zip tie in the hole and did not hit anything solid. Zip tie was wet when I pulled it out. I bought this boat from a guy who had...

Help identifying bilge pump to fit mount.....

The outlet hose for my existing pump appears to be very low on whatever pump goes here, almost on the ground. I would love to find a replacement of this style to avoid having to remove this bottom and reinstalling the outlet hose, epoxying old screw holes, sanding and sticking a new different...
