if the little green light next to a switch does not illuminate, do s it mean that the switch is bad or that the accessory controlled by the switch isn’t activated ?
My bow and stern light switch suddenly won’t illuminate after I was working on the bow light itself.

Videos on YouTube always show using bolts in the heads to attach the chain to. Is this preferable to simply using the three eye hooks that are already bolted into the top of the engine ? Thanks!

Looked at an abandoned 84 Four Winns this evening with Merc 165. The hull is ok...all glass with obviously repaired transom. Outdrive rough with mounting bolts backed out 1/2 inch. Trailer broken but would probably make it home.

This hole is on the end of a fiberglass protrusion that comes from under the gas tank and stops just short of the bilge pump. I ran a long zip tie in the hole and did not hit anything solid. Zip tie was wet when I pulled it out.
