2 years ago I bought a mod. 1991 Yam 115 2T. The last owner had it rebuilt twice for reasons he did not clarify.
The engine has already 37 hours of flawless operation in my hands.
However, for "peace of mind" reasons, I am planning on installing a new oil pump. It is already 20 years old...
Just a few months ago, I changed the gear oil and it was coming out in a brown creamy colour. The lower unit of my 115 CETO 6E5 L390809 was air-pressed and bubbles were coming out of every orifice in the leg !!
So, I ordered and installed (professionally) all the seals needed to do the job...

My mechanic proposed to use a 0,5% oil premixed in the fuel tank "just in case something goes wrong with my oil...
