Does anyone know if I could wire an in dash tach for a 1992 15HP evinrude? I do have a charging system on it but it's pull start.
I heard that you may be able to connect to the yellow wire on the stator?

1992 15HP long shaft owned since 1994 and has low hours
sat for 4 years and just before storage in 2008 would bog down after engine got hot (may not be related) wasn't too bad but it would definitely loose some HP. replaced the coils...
starts and runs very good but after running full throddle for a while it will start to loose power. example... if I run full throddle with a cool engine the boat will go about 12mph but then slow to about 8-9mph as it warms up. Usually takes about 5 minutes of open throddle to start slowing...
