The Nuvite route works for me overall, since I can use it both on the boat, as well as the Airstream, which means I only have to purchase the one thing for removing oxidation.

Hello, first time posting on the site. I have a question. Will the ECM from a 1998 Evinrude FICHT swap over to a 1998 Johnson FICHT, or will there have to be a lot of flashing and reprogramming? The part number (586237) is the same for both.
