    I pulled the fly wheel and you was right sheared the key steel replacing it now let ya know if that does it by the way would you know the torque on that but I was thinking around 45 pounds

    A normal compression on a 2stroke 20hp is around 110- Normal compression is 110-130 but seen plenty motors run perfect in the low 90’s upper 80’s but could still be the problem hoping not though lol it was running great till it just died out

    Is the key also used for the timing cause if u crank it for 4-5 seconds it back fire thru the exhaust

    I didn’t know u didn’t suppose to use starting fluid I only sprayed it once but it didn’t work anyways lol

    I have a 1985 20hp evinrude 2 stroke has fire but won’t start period sprayed starter fluid in cylinders won’t even hit checked compression top cylinder reads 95psi and second cylinder reads 98psi what could be the reason it won’t start plugs have been changed and gapped 0.30
