It will start fine, and even run at low end. It will even jump into a full plane and then boggs down within 5-10 seconds. I put an inline filter, replaced all the fuel lines, diaphragm...

Here a a few mods I did to mine. Added more flush mount rod holders in the back deck and a trolling motor up front since these pics. And added wheel covers for the trailer. Food for thought.

1974 Starcraft Super Sport 18' open bow, build deck across the back and reworked front deck for better fishing access.
Now has 1987 125 Force on it. Replaced original 1974 Chrysler 105 in 1989.

Had her since 1976, replaced 105 with 125.
Many years in Salt Water environment. Gotta keep 'er clean.
Use for scuba diving mostly these days since kids are grown but caught a ton of fish out of her.
Have replaced flooring twice.
