I use a 1979 Evinrude 6 hp on the back of my Gheenoe for steelhead fishing in Michigan and I want to install a Mac's River Runner skeg/prop protector. The lower unit oil drain plug is right in the middle of the skeg. I need to drill 3 holes to install the unit. Would I be drilling right...

I've got a '78 6 hp Evinrude that just stopped running. I had the fuel pump replaced, went out fishing for a couple of hours, and coming across the lake at a slow troll it just stopped. Always started on the first pull before and now it won't start at all.
