well, I replaced my stator and it cured my problem of not being able to go over 2000 rpm. before the stator went bad the tach showed some erratic behavior but not it wont work at all. it might be that the tach is just dead but I am thinking it must have something to do with the work I did. is it...
I need to rebuild my carbs on my merc (86) inline 6. they are wmk-39...... I have an oppertunity to get some wmk-40's from an inline 6 115 that were just rebuilt..... does anyone know if this is a compatible? can I make the switch?
