New to boating, bought a 1986 searay with 4.3 omccorbra last spring, in the water. When pulled out for winterizing there was a homemade assembly where the upper gearcase port side screw plug was, the one covered up by a decal. Qustion: does this hole need to be water tight. Boat runs great...
