I'm wondering what it looks like,is it only used for starting,the reason i ask is i'm having possible armature plate troubles and would like to know if i have e.s.a. Model is E55rslv Super 55 with Tiller & Electric start.
I have an issue with the throttle lincage not moving the armature plate...
I rescently bought this Motor which has been sitting for a few yrs in a heated garage, its 1986 55 Super (Commecial) Model CE55RSLV. closest model i found a schematic for is the 1986 model E55RWLCDC & but cant find a Manufacturers manual for mine. Anyway i took it out for a test run after...

i just bought a boat with this clean motor, it has good compression and fires right up.
I know its a Commercial series and it says "Super 55" on the hood but thats about it.
I would like to know the year but all my searches come up pretty lame.
This makes it hard to determine...
